Faye's Advice

We have been asked many times over the years for a definite school literacy plan. We have hesitated to propose a timetable for literacy because we know from our sales of the Fitzroy Readers that different schools proceed at different rates. We know, as teachers ourselves, that it does not pay to skip stages of literacy. That is why we emphasise the SEQUENCE of learning activities rather than the EXACT content for each year.

We do offer below a one-page SCHOOL PLAN for primary literacy. But we advise that it can be stretched over one or two extra years. In some cases,even longer.
